Solidarity with Ukraine
The Cluster of Excellence CMFI condemns the attack on Ukraine. With great concern we follow the events and are shocked.
CMFI is a place of research that thrives on trust, cooperation, exchange, humanity, diversity and tolerance. Freedom, democracy and self-determination are fundamental values that underpin our research and for which we are fully committed.
Our thoughts are with the people in Ukraine. In these difficult times, our sympathies go out to all those who are deeply concerned about the future and safety of their families, friends and co-workers. This both inside and outside Ukraine.
The invasion of Ukraine has global consequences. Thus, it also has an impact on international cooperation in research and science. At office@cmfi.uni-tuebingen.de we would like to offer support to students and researchers in the life sciences.
Various support offers are currently emerging
We would like to provide an overview of support services, funding opportunities and contact points:
-
Walter Benjamin Program: Refugee Researchers (German Research Foundation DFG).
-
Philip Schwartz Initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation: 24(+12) months fellowship in Germany for researchers at risk
-
Extensive collection of the University of Tübingen of help for refugees, donation possibilities and background information
