Abstract:
The Quantitative Biology Center (QBiC) is the central unit for bioinformatics and omics technologies of the University of Tübingen, its Medical Faculty and the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology. We offer consulting on experimental design and suitable technologies, data management and bioinformatics analyses. I will present QBiC and it’s newly founded Computational Microbiology Bridge Group. We develop bioinformatics workflows, contribute to collaborative research projects and handle core facility projects in the field of microbiology and infection. In this context, I will also inform about the QBiC services available for the CMFI Cluster. Additionally, I will demonstrate how we develop best-practice workflows using the nf-core framework, highlight by QBiC developed workflows for microbial omics analysis and briefly talk about ongoing research projects.
