The Cluster of Excellence "Controlling Microbes to Fight Infections" (CMFI) invited Andreas Strecker from the German Research Foundation (DFG) to discuss the various funding opportunities and the application process. Andreas Strecker is the DFG's Programme Director for the group Life Sciences 2: Microbiology, Immunology, Neurosciences. He supervises several research projects and programs in Tübingen and is therefore the direct contact person for these departments at the DFG Head Office.
In his presentation, Andreas Strecker will inform on the DFG as a funding institution. Major funding instruments crafted for all requirements from early career promotion to coordinated programs will be introduced. Furthermore, advice will be given how to follow the guidelines and present a project to convince reviewers.
There will be time for questions from the audience in the discussion afterwards.
The lecture will be held in English and is open to the public. No registration needed.
