Tiny Giants – The Power of Microorganisms

The next installment of the exhibition "Tiny Giants" will be taking place in the Mühlerama museum in Zurich.

This international exhibition brings the fascinating world of microorganisms to life – in nature, research and art. The CMFI and the University of Tübingen are represented with four contributions:

• CMFI project ‘MicroPop’ in cooperation with the State Academy of Art in Stuttgart with the interactive exhibits
   
  • Shaking Flagella
     
  • Augmented Mirror
     
  • Biofilm projections

• A research station on bioplastic production by cyanobacteria by Prof. Dr. Karl Forchhammer (Microbiology / Organismic Interactions Working Group)

The exhibition runs from September 5, 2026 to May 17, 2026 and offers a diverse accompanying programme with guided tours, workshops, science talks and culinary formats.
