Tiny Giants – The Power of Microorganisms

Everyone is invited to the opening of the exhibition

‘Winzige Giganten - Die Macht der Mikroorganismen’ (Tiny Giants – The Power of Microorganisms)
on Thursday, 27 November 2025 at 7 p.m.
at the Museum Brot und Kunst – Forum Welternährung,
Salzstadelgasse 10, 89073 Ulm.

This international exhibition brings the fascinating world of microorganisms to life – in nature, research and art. The CMFI and the University of Tübingen are represented with four contributions:

• CMFI project ‘MicroPop’ in cooperation with the State Academy of Art in Stuttgart with the interactive exhibits
   
  • Shaking Flagella
     
  • Augmented Mirror
     
  • Biofilm projections

• A research station on bioplastic production by cyanobacteria by Prof. Dr. Karl Forchhammer (Microbiology / Organismic Interactions Working Group)

The exhibition runs from 28 November 2025 to 12 April 2026 and offers a diverse accompanying programme with guided tours, workshops, science talks and culinary formats.
