NCII: Novel concepts in innate immunity 2025
The 40th anniversary of the discovery of Toll in Tübingen and 10 years of NCII conferences

The ‘Novel Concepts in Innate Immunity’ (NCII) conference will be held digitally in Tübingen from 10 to 13 June 2025. This 6th NCII meeting is especially exciting as it commemorates the 40th anniversary of the 1985 discovery of the Drosophila Toll receptor, a milestone in the exploration of innate immunity.
We have already lined up an exciting list of invited speakers and especially look forward to a “40th anniversary session” with keynote speakers Bruno Lemaitre and Luke O’Neill who will review the amazing progress and developments in the field as a whole.
As in the previous NCIIs, we hope to bring to you many of the most interesting new trends across a range of topics in innate immunity. The packed scientific program will be enhanced by an attractive industrial exhibition and a fun social program, as well as a chance to meet the editors of notable immunological journals.
You can actively contribute to the meeting by submitting abstracts for presentations on your current research work and results. We highly encourage both established and junior researchers to do so and multiple abstracts will again be selected for plenary oral presentations or lightning talks to prominently feature and discuss exciting new results you’d like to share. All posters and talks will compete for poster and talk prizes.
Abstract submission will open on 11 October 2024, a time you might want to note in your calendar already.
