DFG visits CMFI
Andreas Strecker from the German Research Foundation (DFG) visited the Cluster of Excellence CMFI on March 20, 2024 to explain the various funding opportunities at the DFG and the application process. Andreas Strecker is the DFG Program Director for the Life Sciences 2: Microbiology, Immunology, Neurosciences group. He supervises several research projects and programs in Tübingen and is therefore the direct contact person for these departments at the DFG Head Office.
In his talk “CMFI meets DFG –Writing a proposal: programs and advice to foster your career”, Andreas Strecker provided information on the various funding opportunities offered by the DFG, with a special focus on opportunities for young researchers. He gave helpful tips on how to follow the DFG guidelines and how to present a project in a way that will convince the reviewers. Questions from the audience were answered in the following discussion.
