Round Table Science Communication & Public Engagement

After a long break, the Tübingen Round Table on Science Communication & Public Engagement will take place again – as an open forum for everyone working at Tübingen research and educational institutions in science communication, media and public relations, or public engagement.
In the past, the Round Table was used to discuss selected projects in science communication – now we would like to take this opportunity to revitalise the network, get to know each other (again) and talk together about topics, formats and needs.
When: Thursday, 27 November 2025, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Where: Room 128, Centre for Media Competence (ZfM), Brechtbau, Wilhelmstraße 50
Provisional programme:
Arrival & getting to know each other (approx. 60 min.)
Discussion about who is currently active in science communication in Tübingen – Wishes, topics and ideas for future meetings – Goal: reconstitute, network, create orientation
Thematic part
‘School laboratories – interfaces between science, schools and the public’ – Brief introduction to current challenges – Joint work on solutions and possible collaborations
The format is intended to take place regularly in the future and also make it easier for new colleagues to join the Tübingen communication network – because many of us work in specialised roles, often with little contact with other communicators.
