Peter Kremsner receives DZIF Prize for Translational Infection Research 2024

CMFI Principal Investigator Peter Kremsner has been awarded the DZIF Prize for Translational Infection Research 2024. The award recognizes his pioneering contributions to malaria research and his innovative approaches to developing new vaccines, therapies and prevention strategies. The award ceremony took place during the Joint Annual Meeting of the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF) and the German Society for Infectious Diseases (DGI) on February 14, 2025 in Munich. Peter Kremsner is an infectiologist and tropical medicine specialist at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Travel Medicine and Human Parasitology at the University Hospital of Tübingen.
About the Prize
Every year, the DZIF Academy presents the DZIF Prize for Translational Research to honor outstanding scientific achievements in the field of translational infection research. The prize, endowed with 5,000 euros, was formally presented to Prof. Kremsner on February 14, 2025 in Munich. The prizewinners from previous years are listed on the DZIF Academy website.
